To make sure you no longer have any choice apart from the ones that the EU and manufacturers want you to have there are some rather harsh new laws possibly coming into force that will not only force you to have ABS on your bike but also stop you from making any changes to it. No more Powercommanders, no tasty exhausts. In fact if those stuffy car driving do gooders have their way you wont ever be able to change a thing on your bike which will kill the aftermarket parts market over night.
Dark times ahead unless we stand up and do something about it. Some manufacturers have been trying to do this for years, take Triumph as an example. The dealers are not display anything in the shop that is not supplied or branded by Triumph, Arrow exahusts cost more because it has Triumph stamped on it and you can only buy them from Triumph.
Riding bikes is all about freedom, lets hope that freedom is not taken away from us.
Dont get me wrong, i am all for an EU wide type approval for parts like TUV or the old BS stamp but please let us take responsibilty for our own lives.
